New Parking Regs
Parking regulations have been updated and are available on our Website, LRMHA.org. Printed copies are available from Northern Virginia Management upon request. Highlights are:
Minutes from the 2018 meeting were approved Elected to three-year terms were:

Pamela Rinehart, 4533 and
Karyn Selko, 4518, just completed the first year of their three-year term. Barring unforeseen vacancies, we anticipate no board openings for the next year.
A quorum was established, Pamela gave a report of the past year’s work, the votes were taken and tallied, and the meeting ended in under an hour—record time! Meeting minutes are available from Northern Virginia Management.
Yard Sale Oct. 12
Little River Mews’ Fall Yard Sale will be Saturday, Oct. 12. Set up begins at 9 a.m,; the sale will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Drinks, hot dogs and other snacks will be provided. Display items for sale on your own property and handle your own transactions. The Board will advertise and post signs.
Labor Day Cookout
Thanks to all who showed up at the Labor Day pot luck on the circle.
Architectural Review Board
Your ARB met and continued to update the guidelines. Julie Soininen is finalizing the draft and the final should be out to all residents before the end of the year. As a general rule, unless replacing what you have exactly (and it has been confirmed to be in compliance), check with the ARB before making any modifications to the outside of your house, fence or paved areas on your property.
Landscape Improvements
Recent improvements to the neighborhood include:
*We have sent proposals to other firms to do the more complicated drainage improvements behind 4501-4519, and signed a proposal to do drainage improvements behind 4502- 4508.
*Removed dead trees
*Sweet gum trees that dropped massive amounts of seed pods on cars, yards and parking lot in the dogleg have been removed.
*All swale work already completed is growing in nicely and drainage areas have been cleared of debris.

Reminders:
DO: throw away lids, flatten boxes and plastic bottles, rinse out glass food and beverage containers, and plastic and aluminum containers
DON’T: toss containers with food residue (pizza boxes, fast food containers), Styrofoam, plastic bags, broken glass, light bulbs, batteries, wires, plastic binding.
Note: Pick-up will be Nov. 29 vs. Nov. 28 (Thanksgiving), Dec. 26 vs. Dec. 25 (Christmas), and Jan. 2 vs. Jan. 1 (New Year’s Day). Check the American Disposal Web site (link on lrmha.org) in case of questions.

- Three parking hangtags will be distributed yearly to each paid-up household. Tags must be displayed, printed side out and must be fully visible, on the rear view mirror or dashboard, or vehicle may be towed.
- Any household owing dues will receive only one tag until paid in full, and is prohibited from borrowing any parking passes until paid in full. Additionally, two parking passes may be invalidated and those vehicles subject to towing.
- There are no guest passes. Anyone requiring a hangtag for a guest may borrow one from a neighbor, but for only one week or less.
- Residents are urged to use their reserved spaces first. If a car is in your reserved space, you may call Dominion Towing at 703-730-1177.
- If you repeatedly park in another resident’s assigned space, use an invalid pass or forge hang tags your car will be towed and you may forfeit all parking privileges.
- Towed vehicles are retrievable at 2898 Gallows Rd., Falls Church (Merrifield area) only after paying the fee in full, an amount which accrues daily.
- Commercial vehicles with nothing except a license plate indicating they are more than a family car are permitted. Any vehicle with paint or markings identifying it as a commercial vehicle (e.g., taxi) are permitted only if completely covered by a car cover.

- Food, animal and human (diaper) waste must be disposed of in black garbage bags and contained in garbage cans.
- Yard waste is picked up Thursdays through December if it is in clear bags.
- Garbage cans are strongly encouraged, but need to be kept out of sight behind bushes, fences or other barriers when not in use.
