SPRING 2017
Where Were You?
Aside from the Board members, only one person showed up for the Annual Meeting. Not enough proxies were provided to have a quorum, so the meeting will have to be rescheduled at extra time, trouble and expense for all of us. Please either attend or provide a proxy to a Board member when you receive in the mail.
Make Fixes Before You Get Cited
The Board will conduct a walk-through of the neighborhood soon so be sure you have fixed up any violations. Notifications will then be sent with any violations listed. You will have until October to make major fixes; simpler ones should be completed as soon as possible. We will have another walk-through to be sure changes have been made this fall.
Don’t Make an Expensive Mistake
Before you paint, replace, build, or tear out anything please refer to the Architectural Guidelines. They are easy to follow and are always available at www.littlerivermews.org. Be especially mindful when painting doors and trim, replacing windows, siding or roof shingles. If you are not in compliance with colors or materials you may have to replace or re-do them at your cost. Thank you to those who follow the guidelines. It makes for a more harmonious neighborhood.
Spring Gardening
The plantings at the front of the development have been spruced up, and we have contacted the proper authorities to address the leaning telephone pole.
Who Wants to Live in a Dump
or Be Bit by a Rabid Animal?
DO USE black garbage bags when throwing out all food waste, including
*take-out, fast food and delivery containers,
*anything stained with food or oil
*rinds, peels, bones, or other food scraps. Thanks. Garbage attracts dangerous animals.
DO NOT USE white trash bags, clear yard waste bags, plastic grocery bags or other store bags, as animals are attracted by the smell and tear into them, strewing garbage and trash around the neighborhood. These other bags may be used for plain paper trash or plastic packaging for items other than food or scented trash.
Unless the black bags are heavy, double bag your garbage and/or use garbage cans.
Pam Broberg at 4521 has extra trash cans. If she has not put them out, come get one for your trash if you need a can,
Our neighborhood garbage has attracted rats, mice, raccoons, feral cats, foxes and possibly other dangerous, potentially rabid animals It’s ugly, and threatens us, our children, our pets, and our property values..
Dues Reminder
Quarterly dues are next owed in July. Those owing on their dues may be sent for collection and then sued. Pay your dues promptly!
